NO-TILL FARMING/GARDENING USING STRAW BALE
One of the most strenous tasks of farmers/gardeners is tilling the soil. With new studies from experts, more and more farmers/gardeners are now using the no-till method of farming and gardening.
Tilling the soil disturbs the natural growing environment and it causes compaction and erosion. This will also activate dormant weed seed and as a result, they will sprout and creates more problem to us.
Just recently, Ms. Jonavie Fuentes Paclibar, RA, of Philippine Rice Straw Bale Gardening, shared with me the technology she learned from an American horticulturist, Joel Karsten.
